Each blast in town requires a blast permit to be obtained and approved by the city which establishes distances from houses required as well as monitor levels to be measured at the time of blast. A blast report will be created showing layout of blast, measured readings, and provided to the project owners to ensure safety of the jobsite and community.

First, if the blast occurs in town a blast permit will be approved by the city establishing minimum distances for notification of the blasts.
Each blast is measured by a seismograph located at the nearest existing structure to ensure the readings stay within acceptable limits established in the permit.
